Our Classes
At Little Learning Grove, we are honored to guide children through a journey of discovery, imagination, and growth. We offer three separate classes designed to nurture the whole child in a calm, natural, and inspiring environment.
Our Approach
We believe in learner-centered, curiosity-driven education that allows each child to grow and develop at their own pace. Our classrooms are places where decision-making, problem-solving, risk-taking, and creativity are encouraged every day. Through a holistic approach to learning, we support children in building confidence, forming connections with nature, and developing a strong sense of self within the world around them.
Our Class Community
Each of our classes has a dedicated lead teacher who serves as the primary point of contact for families, fostering clear communication and deep connection. Our class sizes are intentionally small — 10 students in Acorns, 10 in Sprouts, and 5 in Seedlings — allowing for individualized attention and meaningful relationships.
Throughout the week, children enjoy both mixed-age play and learning experiences as well as individual class time tailored to their developmental stage. This balance helps foster leadership, empathy, collaboration, and a vibrant community spirit across all age groups.
No matter which class your child is in, they will be part of a warm, inclusive learning community — one rooted in love, discovery, and respect for childhood.
Acorn Class (Ages 3-4)
Our Acorn Class is where the magic of early learning begins! Designed for our youngest learners, this class provides a gentle, nurturing introduction to group learning in a play-based, nature-connected environment. At this age, children are discovering who they are and how they relate to the world around them — and we’re here to guide them with patience, joy, and intention.
In the Acorn Class, we focus on:
Fostering independence through daily routines and student-led exploration
Building social-emotional skills through cooperative play and gentle guidance
Encouraging curiosity with hands-on experiences and nature-based learning
Developing fine and gross motor skills through creative art, movement, and outdoor adventures
Sprout Class (Ages 4-5)
The Sprouts Class is where big ideas begin to bloom. Designed for pre-K aged children, this class is a joyful blend of curiosity-driven exploration and meaningful early learning experiences. At this stage, children are growing more confident in their independence, friendships, and voice — and we’re here to help them thrive in every way.
In the Sprouts Class, we nurture:
Social-emotional growth through collaboration, empathy-building, and shared experiences
Early literacy, numeracy, and problem-solving skills woven into hands-on, thematic learning
Creative expression through open-ended art, music, storytelling, and imaginative play
A growing sense of self and place through nature-based learning and community connections
Seedling Kindergarten
The Seedling Kindergarten is where curiosity meets capability. Designed for our kindergarten-age learners, this class offers a rich, nurturing space where academic growth and creative exploration go hand in hand. With a balance of structure and freedom, students are empowered to take ownership of their learning — while being supported every step of the way.
In the Seedling Class, children will:
Build strong foundations in math, phonics, and literature through engaging, age-appropriate instruction
Be guided by a certified PreK–4th grade teacher who facilitates a thoughtful, personalized curriculum
Explore big ideas and deep questions through inquiry-based projects and thematic learning
Develop socially and emotionally through meaningful collaboration and connection
As our kindergarten pod, the Seedling Class:
Aligns with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) to ensure children meet (and exceed!) state learning goals for Kindergarten
Combines academic readiness with hands-on, joyful learning experiences
Encourages every child to progress at their own pace while meeting important developmental milestones
Families may choose from a 2-day or 4-day weekly schedule for any of our classes (Acorns, Sprouts, or Seedlings), based on availability.
2-day options include Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday, and the 4-day option runs Monday through Thursday.
All classes run from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with a flexible drop-off window from 8:00–8:30 AM and pick-up between 2:30–3:00 PM.
